A Little Bit About Me
I have been speaking publicly for 15+ years and have keynoted dozens of events. 

I have spent the last 22+ years of my career, recruiting, training, growing and leading multi-million dollar insurance organizations. I have recruited well over 2,000 insurance agents in my career and have lead large sales teams to triple digit sales increases multiple times.

In my last position I was responsible for 7 corporate employees, 29 Direct Report Sales Managers, and +/- 600 insurance agents. In 2016 I was named Territory Sales Manager of the year having grown sales from $11 million to over $21 million in under 4 years.

I now devote my time to writing, consulting, and speaking. In terms of my platform:

Leaving A Legacy Through Recruiting
To whom much is given, much is required. For most of us the opportunity we were given has changed our lives. We have been able to impact hundreds, if not thousands of people and provided our families in a manner that we may not have dreamed possible. I know that if I had settled for my wildest dreams, I would have sold myself short. It is my belief that we must pay it forward by helping others discover the incredible opportunity we have been given. 
Your Absolute Level Best
You owe it to yourself, and the people that are counting on you to do your absolute level best every day. In this presentation I explain that we were created for abundance, adventure, and an abrupt ending. The reality is that we often live uninspired lives that are just on cruise control. We take the same route to work every day. Watch the same TV shows every week. Binge watch Netflix on weekends when we aren't at our kid's sports games... again... What if we could wake up every day with a sense of adventure? A feeling that today was going to be different? It's not only possible, if we follow the steps I lay out, it's highly probable! 
Success Is Voluntary
The speech that started it all. As a sales manager of 1099, independent salespeople, I realized that these agents weren't employees. I couldn't make them come to meetings and trainings. Often they would ask me if they really needed to attend these events. They felt their time would be better spent in sales activities in the field. I get it. Salespeople have a bias for action. Sitting in a training class all day, or even in a meeting for 2 hours, makes them squirm. However, the true pros know that time spent "sharpening the saw" is never wasted and often leads to great leaps in productivity. I would explain this to them and then say, "I can't make you come. This training is completely voluntary... So is success!"
Disturbing Questions
 In most sales situations there may not be a legitimate reason for your prospect to tell you no. That doesn’t mean that you have given them enough reason to say yes. By asking Disturbing Questions the prospect must stop for just a second and realize that perhaps there is something that they hadn’t considered. Most sales presentations appeal to the prospect's logical side. Prospects don’t make decisions based upon logic. Neither do you. One of the oldest adages in sales is, “People buy based upon emotion. They back it up (their decision) using logic.” If all we do is give them the back up (the logical reasons), we are missing the mark by a very wide margin. The Disturbing Questions outlined in this presentation are designed to create a very strong emotional response. You will quickly realize that the more Disturbing Questions you ask, the higher your chances are of making the sale. It really is that simple.
Turning Pro
Based in part on Steven Pressfield's book Turning Pro, I break down the 5 most neglected behaviors that separate the true professional salesperson from the amateur (and they're not what you probably think.) The reality is that unless we understand how these behaviors shape our capacity for success, we have no opportunity to make them a habit.  It is my belief that we owe it to ourselves and the people we serve to stop treating this career as a hobby. To have the opportunity to make serious money, we have to take our personal and professional development seriously! In this very practical presentation the audience members are given tactical tools and techniques to put into practice immediately.
